Dear All,

I want to perform adding column disk to existing 500GB x 2 striping volume,
here is the questions:
1. if they are stripping, do I need to add it in one pair?
2. what is the steps before apply vxassist -g diskgroup relayout
volume ncol=+2 ?
3. how could VxVM knows which two column disks should be add to
existing volume diskgroup?

You want the vxassist relayout command, and you can explicitly tell it
where to put the two new columns by using the disk names (that you have
already initialized with vxdisksetup or the like)
